In 1805, Yoshizo Inaba started his business producing and selling tuna and gradually expanded his market throughout Japan. He later expanded into the pet food market in 1958, and in 1989,
the CIAO brand was born. Inaba continued to grow into the 21st century, and today, Inaba CIAO is the most popular premium cat food brand in Japan, with distribution worldwide.
